It started with a 3-hour phone call out of the blue, and a year later we were on tv.

We were so very fortunate to be part of Season 2 of Food Network Canada’s internationally syndicated “You Gotta Eat Here” with host John Catucci.  Everything about being around John and the YGEH crew was a blast and we had a great opportunity to showcase our unique spin on traditional breakfast fare.

Fast forward two years, and a critical health scare for me later, and sadly, breakfast service had to come to an end here at Memphis Fire Barbeque Company.  However, the episode we are showcased in kept playing, it was very high in the rotation for repeats, always concerning our team that we were disappointing a lot of people.  Imagine you see a Lobotomizer or Big Kahuna for the first time and then find out that breakfast was not being served any longer.

Well, that changed for the better in late 2016.  In late November, we started playing around with some Sunday Brunch features, showcasing the Signature Breakfasts from the show.  Some of them, like the Big Kahuna, had to be re-interpreted into a different form, but the flavours and desire were both still there.

Now, we proudly serve Brunch items every Sunday from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, and feel that we still honour the reason we are part of the “You Gotta Eat Here” family.

How can you go wrong with a bacon grilled cheese pancake? The answer, you can’t!

This dish is the reason you’ve seen us on TV.  The Lobotomizer or “Lobo” as it is commonly referred to, is a 9oz bacon and cheddar cheese filled pancake topped with more cheddar cheese, over easy eggs, hot sauce and green onions.  Your choice to top it off with syrup at the table.

Ensure you’re not the one driving if you plan to eat the entire dish.

Biscuits, Bacon, Smoked Sausage, and Eggs… flavour -jets activated!

The Sausage Bacon Biscuits, or “SBB” as it is commonly referred to, is all about a true Southern experience.

Sweet Onion, Bacon, and Smoked Sausage are cooked inside a large omelet,  Sneaky Cheese is folded inside and then placed in between two biscuits.  Topped with cheddar cheese and garnished with Smokehouse sauce and green onions.  If there was a “best in show” for Southern Cooking in the North, this would win hands down.

Not Everyone likes a traditional breakfast!

When we were kids, I know I didn’t like a traditional adult breakfast.  Now as an adult I enjoy any breakfast, but still, I have a soft spot for a burger for breakfast.

The GMB was a huge hit when we served breakfast every day, now, it’s a great breakfast for those that like the “Lunch” side of Brunch, but don’t want to miss the egg.
